Hi Squadron Leader.... I have flown the Spitfire all summer wind permiting along with my Focke Wulf. I must have done over 30 hours with the Spit now and not a glitch i love it. I need more room in my hangar now the Parkzone BF109 is out . All the best. |

Bought the Spitfire after learning to fly with the Super Cub. Loads of fun, ALOT quicker and sharper than the Super Cub, and easy to fix. A brilliant stepping stone towards more advanced aircraft. Excellent service from Squadron Leader! |

Wanted this thing for about a year and finally got one on my B-day. Amazing plane and looks so good when shes flying. Super smash on 3rd flight though. Repaired with tape and some nail glue! |

This plane is amazing! I killed the first one with a full speed upside down nose dive :( But now i have my new one and I have flown it 6 times and she is still living. I would recommend this spitfire to anyone, Great fun :) |

Great fun but buy the crash pack, because gravity, she be a cruel mistress!! |

I already have a Trojan and a SuperCub but I think this is going to have to also be introduced to my hangar, i'm really really really tempted to get one. |

I've just received one from my wife for Christmas and now can't wait to go and make a 39" wide Spitfire shaped hole in the ground ! |

My first RC aircraft, i love it! No experience, but im a pilot, so know the fundementals. One thing I noticed straight away...airspeed...u gotta keep in goin or it stalls like a brick, nose first, and youll need 100ft to recover, same as slow steep turns. Obviously the power counteracts the centre of gravity and it just nosedives when you lose it. Long and short of it...keep it high and fast at the beginning, and buy the pack with nose front crash repair thingy:) |

Fantastic flying ability. First flight went well - just keep it simple. Fantastic service. Keep up the good work Squadron Leader |

I might buy one of these - I'm good on the P-51 Mustang but the Spit looks great too. |

Bought the plane, made the plane, flew the plane, loved the plane, crashed the plane :-( want another plane....no joke, lovely flier, good response and great move up from a Super Cub. Get some paint out, and paint it up....only thing to be aware of is showing off, that's where I lost it...one low fast pass too many and splat...gutted. Great service from Squadron Leader, and a website that encourages you to have a go and join in...not like all the other sites where they just want to sell you the kits. Keep up the good work SL. |

Should have D Day markings as standard, two tone green very dull. I'll have to get one to go with my Cub & P51. |

This plane is fantastic, I now have six. In one I fitted a camera transmitter into the cockpit. My view included the cockpit frame and down the length of the nose. The camera reciever was plugged into a tv monitor with built in hard drive. Flying the plane from inside the cockpit was amazing. I also was able to record the flight on the drive and put it on cd with an overlay track from the dambusters...dont just fly it..... live it. |

Excellent plane, very good fun to fly and spare parts very cheap should you need them! |

I Love Spitfires. Not only are they one of the most beautiful planes, but the most manoeuvrable, fastest, agile and outstanding plane of its time. And to be able to fly one, even though its a model, is just the best experience an RC plane enthusiast can possibly have. |
William Long 26/08/08 at 10:56 AM |

|
awsome plane crashed my one but have all ready sent of for parts would recommend but you would need a little xp with rc planes the are strong i have had 4 crashes the last 2 were nose dives |

Excellent model. The spitty looks the biz and flies the biz, top service too! |

I think this plane is terrific. Learnt to fly it quickly and I can now do all the standard aerobatics easily. Its slow speed performance is outstanding too. I have literally had mine hovering into a 10 mph crosswind with no signs of stalling or wing tipping. A static spitfire in the sky is a different sight to see. Overall just like the full size version - a pilots dream. |
James Colson 23/06/08 at 03:01 PM |

|
not for a beginner get a supercub - but after that get one of these!!!!! fast, aerobatic and terrifying. you will crash it, but it's cheap to repair unless you completely trolley it. |

Amazing Plane. End of and its British that makes it even better. |
Travis Peterson 16/05/08 at 04:37 PM |

|
This was my first warbird and what a plane! Its quite easy to fly with a little experience if your carefull, but you get use to it really quickly. The Spitfire is an awesome plane and I recommend it to all. |
Pete Biggs 11/05/08 at 04:37 PM |

|
Excellent plane, a good step up from hobbyzone v-wings. Certainly not for new flyers though, you can get it into trouble quite quickly! looks and sounds amazing on low fly-by's. |
ian scrace 09/05/08 at 01:36 PM |

|
I THINK THIS PLANE IS GREAT,REAL EASY TO FLY,IM WELL HAPPY WITH MINE,JUST A SHAME YOU CANT CHANGE THE TRANSMITTER XTALS |
MARK HIGGINS 07/05/08 at 07:52 PM |

|
This plane is truly awesome. And if you want to have a dogfight with a Focke-Wulf 190 the spitfire could out run it any day.
Great fun. |
harvey hunt 03/05/08 at 02:33 PM |

|
Actually amazing - a shame there was an English flag as I'm Austrailian. |
Michael Peterson 23/04/08 at 01:35 PM |

|
Fantastic flier. Looks beatiful in the air and on the ground. Only my third r/c plane but so easy to control with a good set up for replacing broken parts. Nice one Squadron leader! |
Josh Summerfield 07/04/08 at 06:25 PM |

|
Bought one of these Spitfires a few weeks ago. Absolutely awful. Go for the Super Cub or the T-28 Trojan. This plane is one to be avoided. |
M Carter 23/03/08 at 08:38 PM |

|
Great fun to fly and looks fantastic in the air. Mine is awaiting her fourth rebuild after a few scrapes. Worth every penny! Thanks to Squadron Leader for keeping a good stock of spares at the best price. |
Jamie Summers 19/03/08 at 05:09 PM |

|
Excellent model and value for money, but not a model for the beginner. |
Paul Kinnie 25/02/08 at 09:59 PM |

|
Think twice about buying this plane - it's a right handful to control! I smashed mine up on 3rd flight. |
William Peterson 20/02/08 at 10:47 PM |

|
Excellent plane handles better than my P-51D. |

I got this RC Spitfire for Christmas and unfortunately crashed it into a very tall tree. 5 days later it fell down. I like the plane but don't think it's for an absolute beginner like me. Maybe the Super Cub. |
Rob Parham 15/01/08 at 01:28 PM |

|
Flew the spitfire for the first time since I got it. Had to get it trimmed by a pro first, but since it was the first time I did well. The second flight I did a sudden nose dive and broke the propeller but it's still in good shape. Best thing I've got! |
Ben 17/11/07 at 10:48 PM |

i want one of those! |

Oh my god - this warbird really beats the living pants out of any other electric rc plane i've flown before - it's so quick! |
Ian Penacina 04/06/07 at 10:43 AM |
