The Flight of the Phoenix (Part II) From 'The Fallen'; Paul Miller doubles his flying time with his rebuilt Spitfire ‘The Phoenix’. At least he’s now nearing 10 seconds of continuous flight. The Wright brothers would be proud of you Paul! |
The Flight of the Phoenix From 'The Fallen'; Paul Miller’s childhood ambition to fly a Spitfire realised and then dashed within 10 seconds. Possibly the shortest flight we have received, but still funny enough to make the gallery. |

It's Just Not Cricket! From 'The Fallen'; David Rogers illustrates the importance of keeping tabs on your orientation during flight with his ParkZone Spitfire Mk IIB. |
3 x HobbyZone Super Cubs Not really related to crashes but these guys certainly know how to have fun with the Super Cub. 3 of these little puppies take to the air with a chase just about to commence - why didn't you carry on filming? Good laugh though. |

Spitfire Mk IIB Crash - Old Footage Have you ever seen video footage of a downed plane during WW2? This video reminded us of that so we've included it in the gallery. One thing must be added - poor pilot who owned this Spit! |
2 Super Cubs in Mid-Air Collision One of our all time favourites. A mid-air collision between 2 HobbyZone Super Cubs! This really is testament to how resilient these planes are - no damage to either plane. |

Super Cub Fly-By & Super Crash Another entry from the legend Neil Smith. From what we have learnt from this budding young pilot, he has crashed a P-51D Mustang, a Spitfire Mk IIB and now is on his 3rd plane, the Super Cub. Watch this clip to see an almost perfect fly-by. Then, keep watching to see how close he comes to hitting himself with his own plane in a spectacular crash at the end. |
Super Cub Lands Safely... into Tree After some pretty tidy flying, this pilot started to get cocky and flew too close to our furry friends; the trees. Maybe he was in trouble and needed a soft landing? Whatever happens, his Super Cub will fly another day. Listen out for the pilot's commentary in the background... 'I don't know what I'm doing... Oh sh*t!' Brilliant. |

ParkZone P-51D Mustang vs. Tree Neil Smith flew his ParkZone P-51D Mustang after his initial crash (details here) but forgot to re-adjust the trimming after making his repairs. Needless to say, the plane didn’t control as well as it should have… full steer to the left upon launch made it easy prey for the nearest 'magnetic tree'. This is so simple... yet so funny. |
