'The Fallen' - David Bowring Falls - 05/12/07

"After three attempts at getting the ParkZone Spitfire into the air, I managed to fly her for a good 6 minutes. It was then I got a little too comfortable, went too far way and lost sight of her near some trees. The last thing I saw was it nose diving to the ground. Honestly, the very last thing I did (with the exception of shouting “Noooooooooooo!”) was put the throttle to idle. After all, you’ve got to save that prop on landing... Possibly could have flared a little better though!

Anyway please consider it for the award and thanks again for being the site of choice when it comes to these babies!

It became apparent that it wasn't quite the same plane it was the night before. It made a nice impact though.

There was some good news though... The pilot survived and there was no need for paramedics. It goes to show, crumple zones and seatbelts really do save lives!
