Here follows exert from Calum Macintosh 's email when he submitted his photos to Squadron Leader: "...Just after Christmas I bought the ParkZone Spitfire. The first flight was perfect... the practice on the HobbyZone Super Cub really helped! I ran home and charged up the battery. I went flying again but this time decided to do some aerobatics and use high rates. So typically I crash losing sight of the Spit as it passes by some trees. It began to loop and I used severe movements to correct it... it nose-dived head first into the ground. I sank to my knees dramatically when I saw the mess! Even the battery had ruptured. I took it home and threw it on the table. I was seriously unhappy. My parents 'tutted' and said 'I told you so' which made it worse. I vowed to rebuild the Spit! About 4-5 months later I had finished and it was as good as new. I haven't crashed since! I am now doing low inverted passes and not crashing! I think that crashes make you better at flying..." This proves even our youngest flying friends have accidents. Glad you got your plane back up and flying Calum - it's all part of the fun. The Advanced-Edition 'ParkZone Spitfire Assembly Pack' |
