Phil Ralph - Spitfire Vb - North African /Middles East Colours
It seems Phil has been busy again. This time it's a Spitfire Mk Vb with Vokes air filter and radiator! Once again Phil, a top notch job.

Forum Submission – "bullittrob" and his P-51D Mustangs
Hi guys, here's a photo of two of my P-51 Mustangs. Sadly the Red Nosed 4th Fighter Group Mustang is no longer with us, but the blue nosed bird is going well!
The Red Nosed Mustang went into the ground at full bore from about 500 ft!!! I don't know what happened but it was flying for around 7 minutes and then wanted to dive no matter how much back stick input. I have got photos which I will post shortly.
Squadron Leader Says: A great looking pair of P-51D Mustangs. We are particularly impressed with the blue nosed version. Good submission “bullittrob”. Would love to see the aftermath of your Red Nose Crash!

Geoff Clowes - RAF inspired T-28 Trojan
Here are a few photos of my latest project.
I used acrylic paint lined out with Duct tape. The red was applied over a base coat of silver acrylic to give it depth and lustre and the decals were made using a computer art package then printed onto very thin matt photo paper. These were cut out and applied to plane using solvent free glue. Finally a layer of satin varnish was applied to weatherproof them.
Can't wait to take her up in her new coat, I think she will look great especially if the sun is shining on her. I have also repainted a Spitfire and Focke Wulf 190 which I will submit sometime in the near future.
Hope you like.

Squadron Leader says: Geoff, you have certainly been busy. Once again a great looking plane in the RAF paint style. If only they came painted like this. Excellent work.

Geoff Clowes – RAF inspired Super Cub
I thought you might like to see my Super Cub in its new colours. Ok, so the RAF had no Super Cubs like this but I like it and I hope The Squadron does.
Decals were printed via Paint Shop Pro onto thin photo paper. They were then glued to the plane and sealed with varnish. She should look good in the air particularly with the flashing red beacon and landing lights recessed within the Cowl air scoop
I've had circa 30 flights so far with only one incident; a Prop blade shearing in flight meant I had to make a quick emergency landing. With a simple Prop change I was up in the air again… she's a little beauty!

Squadron Leader Says: Regardless of whether the RAF had Super Cubs, we think she looks exceedingly neat. Would love to see some pictures of her in the air. Good job Geoffrey.

Craig Wick - D-Day Spitfire
I just wanted to send in a couple of shots of my ParkZone Spitfire (purchased from you of course!!) sporting D-Day invasion stripes.
I have always thought this finish makes the Spit look amazing so I decided to do it myself.
Squadron Leader Says: We agree Craig, certainly high impact visuals and simply done.
Great work!

Phil Ralph - 1944 Italian Campaign Focke-Wulf 190
Following Phil Ralphs Customised Super Cub he decided to try something a little more adventurous. This mean looking Focke sports the Italian Campaign Camo and I think you would agree, it looks bloody good!
Squadron Leader Says:
We thought this Focke Wulf was so good that we needed to share it with you guys. That's why Squadron Leader has aquired it and will be offering it as a prize in the not too distant future. The Squadron doffs its flight cap to you Phil. Terribly Good Show!
See how Phil did it! Read On

Dom Smith - Customised Focke-Wulf 190
When Dom Smith sent us pictures of his customised ParkZone Focke-Wulf 190, we thought it was amazing. Please find below a description of how Dom went about painting his Focke.
"I thought I would give it an exaggerated war torn look by painting on a bit of dirt and damage using some Humbrol Acrylic paint I had kicking about." Read On

R Leed - Focke Wulf 190
Both of the FW's have stock geard 480's with the 11.1V 2200mah Li-po batteries. I painted the wing tips yellow on both Aircraft to make them a little easier to see in the air.
"Green 6" was my first ParkZone warbird. It has to have at least 100 flights, I've lost count. "Gray 4" is fairly new, maybe 30 flights. Both have some weathering done and Green 6 was painted with Tamiya acrylic RLM Green and an Aztec 320 airbrush.
Squadron Leader Says:
R Leed - Love the paint job on Green Six. Looks like a true desert Focke. Grey 4 needs a little more dirtying up, but a great start.

Phil Ralph - Super Cub
Phil asked us if we could put his customised Cub online for some feedback.
Affirmative Phil - over and out!
Squadron Leader Says: One of the first customised Super Cubs to be sent in. Great job with the spray can. Probably shouldn't fly this in the Middle East though!

Kev Robins is the Knight Flyer!
From his mums home in Basildon, 46 year old Knight Rider enthusiast Kev Robins explains how his inspiration has been drawn from the Cult Classic series and more specifically the technological prowess behind Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT).
Kev says “I think Michael and the Foundation (Foundation of Law & Government) would be proud of my undertaking. If the series was about a plane, I think KITT would look something like this………obviously he needs the red flashing nose cone, but that’s coming soon”
Squadron Leader Says: Well done Kev, you’re obviously an intense individual with a healthy passion. However, your Kite or is it Kitt, doesn't quite hit the spot. Don't despair though, the Germans will love it!
Please keep us informed of any further "improvements" or new themed customisations.
