Delivery & Returns

 

UPON RECIEPT OF PACKAGE(S):

If you suspect damage, please fully inspect the contents before signing.
- If contents is damaged, clearly state "DAMAGED" when signing the Consignment Note. Signing "UNCHECKED" is insufficient.
- All items must be fully inspected within 24 hours of delivery. Claims for damages can only be considered if reported within 24 hours.- Loss or damage to any delivery left by the Courier in accordance with the customer's instructions are not eligible to the claims system.

PLEASE NOTE: Failure to follow these instructions may affect any warranty claims that you make thereafter.

How do I return an item?

Simply call us on 0845 872 5390 or e-mail returns@squadronleader.co.uk  and one of our customer support team will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Form which will enable us to process your return quickly and efficiently. You MUST obtain a Returns Authorisation Form before sending anything back to us or we will not be able to process your return.

Items returned to Squadron Leader without a completed Returns Authorisation Form (regardless of phone conversation) will NOT be process and therefore NO refund or replacement will be issued.

Our returns policy is very simple, however if you are uncertain about any elements of it please do not hesitate to contact us on 0845 872 5390.

How to return an unwanted item?

Goods returned due to a change of heart must be UNUSED and in PERFECT, RE-SALEABLE condition (including product packaging, instructions, etc), otherwise we will not be able to refund you. On receipt of the item and accompanying Returns Authorisation Form, the item(s) will be thoroughly inspected. On satisfactory completion of this we will refund you the full amount minus the original cost of postage and packaging. Please note that the costs of returning item(s) to us as a result of a change of heart must be borne by you.

How to return a faulty item?

PLEASE NOTE: *Pre-flight testing is imperative. Once a plane has been flown, the warranty is void as a consequence ANY faults with the product must be reported before operating the plane (0845 872 5390).

**Any item returned faulty or otherwise can only be returned in an unmodified state. Any repairs or changes made to the product after sale will void the warranty.

***Faulty items recieved via Priority or Saturday service will be replaced/exchanged in accordance with our returns policy. However the additional courier fee paid at the point of the initial transaction will not be refunded. 

Large Items - Squadron Leader will arrange COLLECTION of all large items (Wings, Fuselages, Planes etc) unless otherwise prearranged and confirmed by Squadron Leader. All items returned without prior notification and acknowledgement from Squadron Leader will not receive the cost of return (postage/courier fee).

Small Items - If you return a small item because it is faulty, we will happily refund your costs in returning it to us (maximum postage value of £4.50). The item(s) must be returned within 30 days of purchase. Before returning items, you must contact Squadron Leader for a Returns Authorisation Form.  Only upon receipt of the parcel will Squadron Leader replace the item or if you would prefer, refund you in full. All items returned without prior notification and acknowledgement from Squadron Leader will not receive the cost of return (postage/courier fee).

Returned items lost in transit - We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit. When returning small items to Squadron Leader we recommend sending the package by Recorded Delivery (1st or 2nd Class).

CANCELATION OF ORDERS:   

You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if payment has already been taken. You can cancel an order by contacting us via telephone, or e-mailing. All details can be found on the Squadron Leader website, or by phoning us on 0845 872 5390

POSTAGE:
 

Squadron Leader will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.

Once orders have been despatched, your package is the responsibility of the Courier Provider. Whilst will endeavour to ensure your parcel(s) reaches you in time, on rare occasions delays do occur for which we cannot be held accountable. Squadron Leader shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer. If you have an urgent requirement we recommend you speak directly to Squadron Leader to discuss delivery options.

All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery availability. Small parcels will be delivered via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded service. Delivery is typically next working day. However, Royal Mail delivery may take up to five working days. Orders recieved before 2:00pm will be processed and despatched by 5:00pm the same day. We do not deliver over bank holiday periods but Saturday delivery is available (at extra cost) upon request or by checking the appropriate option during the checkout process.

Deliveries will be attempted at your chosen address on the following day if the first delivery was unsuccessful. If delivery is unsuccessful on the second attempt then a card will be left at your address allowing you to contact the delivery service and arrange a collection. You maybe required to pay an extra charge for a third attempt on delivery. If you can not collect your goods within 5 days or have not paid for the re-delivery then it will be returned to Squadron Leader. Returned orders to Squadron Leader will be resent upon specific request from the customer. Standard postal/courier charge will be applicable to resent items.

You will only pay one delivery charge per order, the cost of which will be dependent on the contents of your order and your chosen delivery service. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.

Force Majeure - Squadron Leader shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE:
Squadron leader takes its relationships with customers very seriously, and we expend a great deal of effort ensuring that we keep you happy. We aim to reply to emails within one working day of receipt, whether they're enquiries or, heaven forbid, complaints. If email is too impersonal, we encourage (and prefer) you to phone us on 0845 872 5390, where our customer support team will gladly be of assistance. All your feedback is appreciated.
