Super Cub soars at 6000 feet!
Director of European Operations for Shivapuri Village Eco-Tourism and Conservation Farm (Shivapuri Village), Kenneth Ashley Johnson takes a couple of Squadron Leader Super Cubs to his base of operations.
Located 25km to the north of Kathmandu and bordering Shivapuri National Park at an altitude of 6500 feet above sea level, Shivapuri offers stunning Himalayan vistas and apparently an opportunity to fly a Super Cub at record breaking heights!
The surreal sight of a buzzing foam plane amidst some of the highest mountain formations was not lost on the locals. A native Nepalese; upon seeing this unnatural if not unique occurrence commented that “It must be the Brits”.
Squadron Leader would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Kenneth on achieving what surly must be the highest (above sea level) sustained flight of a Super Cub as well as the founding the most exotic of RC flying clubs.
If anyone can match this, then please send Squadron Leader you pictures and videos.
